Scholastic Book Fair 2015
Our recent book fair was a tremendous success. We raised just over $5000 which resulted in a profit of about $2800...Wow! We purchased about $1400 of books from the fair, and have circulated the Scholastic catalogue amongst staff to see what book sets teachers would like for the library, as well as to purchase classroom learning materials. Thank you for everyone who supported our Book Fair, and an especially big thank you for the PAC and parents who volunteered their time to make our book fair so successful...THANK YOU!

andWhat's New in the Library this year (2015/2016)?
Let's Read! Home Reading Program
This is a wonderful opportunity for parents to enjoy books with their children. Children who read regularly and consistently do better in school, and more importantly, learn to love books. The Home Reading Log is used to keep track of what, how often, and how long students reads at home. Parents, please monitor your child's home reading activities by signing the Home Reading Log and talking to your children about what they are reading. Students are encouraged to select reading material of their choice and read at least 20 minutes per day. When the Home Reading Log is full, please return it to your teacher. Students will have their names will be announced over the PA system, as well as how many nights they have read. They will either receive a prize from the classroom teacher or from the library. There will be prizes and incentives offered through the library via a monthly draw to encourage children who participate and read regularly.
